Child and Adolescent Therapy

Children and adolescents often experience anxiety and stress but may not yet have the necessary skills to manage these challenges effectively. Many young people turn to their peers for guidance, a natural but sometimes risky approach that can lead to ineffective or even harmful coping strategies.
Anxiety in children can present in various ways, including irritability, defiance, school avoidance, and withdrawal from social and family activities. When working with children, my primary focus is to create a trusting, safe, and supportive environment where they feel heard and understood.
I also recognize the vital role that parents play in a child’s emotional well-being. Parental involvement is essential to ensure that the support provided in therapy extends into the home, fostering lasting growth and understanding. While families always want the best for their children, they may sometimes struggle with the tools needed to create a nurturing and supportive environment. My role is to help develop and strengthen those skills.
My ultimate goal in therapy is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental, and therapeutic space for children and their families. Together, we will work toward building trusting and nurturing relationships that support positive change and long-term well-being.
